The Flair Flares: a poem

The Flair Flares

This is our goodbye.

The star-crossed couple
goes out with flair.
Wave-fanned winds breathe
over the hills and brush up the scents
surrounding us there in a
spring of wonderful flowers,
swooping up dreams
of how we each
shall fare.

Flarewell.

Great imagery, great poem. I envy all you people who can write non-rhyming poems and make them so vivid!

Love it...made me chuckle, and I do love the interesting use of words...I really should try to write a poem one of these days...

Lydia, I really like this poem. In its unique treatment of star-crossed lovers, even though they have to part... this poem emotes thankfulness and joy, not all angst and pain. Love it! My favorite part - "brush up the scents"!

DFTP,
And I envy people who create amazing short stories (you!).

Mibsy,
Yes, you should and I should try to write a new one!

Honour,
Thanks much. My favorite line is that same one.

WW,
You can make a "flarewell" photo...:)

Lily H,
You are too kind and I appreciate your comments!

Bobbb,
We are kindreds, then.

Little Bird,
Yes, when you see the "(c) MLydiaM" at the end that is me. It's weird to not use my full name but...
I am SO happy you're back! Your vacation posts were grounded yet mystical and I don't know how you did that!

Hi Lydia, I enjoyed this, and believe you could write a really cool FORM poem. Why not write a pantoum, or a villanelle?-- as these forms play well with the alliterative repetition you have created here!

Hi Lisa,
Thanks so much for your comments and suggestions. I'm not clear on the rules for the forms you mentioned, but I'm really curious and will do some research on this! You're great :)
