Happy Sixteenth Birthday, Rachael!

You are an amazing
girl and artist.

The world looks so interesting through your photographic eye and it's a better place with you in it!

(Clearing any confusion after the fact: Rachael is a blogging friend and on my blogroll. The photos I used for this post came from this site. I would have liked to use Rachael's work but asking for permission would have ruined the surprise!)

WW,
Thanks for joining in the happy wishes for Rachael!

Lily Hydrangea,
Sorry if my post misled you. Rachael is one of my blogging friends! I think she's great and wanted to tell her that. The photos I used in this post come from http://tinypic.com/
I'd have liked to use some of Rachael's but couldn't ask for permission without ruining the surprise :)

Steven,
Thank you for visiting my blog.

Rachael,
I'm glad the post was fun for you.
Your descriptions of camp and now the vacation part of your trip have been so interesting. I loved reading about your time at the lake, as it reminded me of when I was your age and loving Lake Tahoe!
Have a safe trip back to FL,
Lydia

Happy belated birthday to Rachael. I love the shot. I am new to using Photoshop, so I still haven't mastered much of any of the manipulations possible with it.

Lisa,
You might enjoy following Wayfaring Wanderer's link (she's the first comment) because she's conducting a Photoshop seminar at her blog. She works magic! (I still haven't got Photoshop but was talking with my husband about it just today....)

Lydia, I think I must have been very tired reading too late into the night when I commented! I went back to re-read the post & have no idea why I made the assumption I did... sorry for the confusion on my part.
Either way it was a great post.

Lily,
No, I really don't think you made an assumption. I put in that little caveat of explanation at the end after I read your comments. So I thank you for the opportunity to clarify my post. (As far as daughters do, though, if I'd ever had one a kid like Rachael would be hard to beat!)
