Thanks. This touched me too. And thanks for your comment on my post!

Also, thank you for all the interesting other blogs that you list. I took a look at some of them and was captivated. Sometimes it is overwhelming how much there is out there...

I've concluded over the years that song and music, is the one true, untainted, manifestation of the good in every human soul... it doesn't matter what emotion you dwell in.. song draws out peace.. and.. love... this was lovely, and touched me too..

Haven't finished my morning coffee, and now I'm crying...what an accolade for a well beloved man. Thanks for the video. I've missed most of the coverage cuz they don't let us watch TV instead of work--what's up with that?

Beautiful tribute from a friend who knew Ted well. Ted loved music and knew how to love everything and how to change everything. That was a very lovely song that brought forth tears from me.

Homage to a great man. There were many moments in the last few days that touched me deeply. In early 50 yrs in the sentate, he did more to advance the ideals of democracythan anyone presently in the senate.Who's going to fill that void?

This really touched me, too. What a beautiful song. I watched every moment of the memorial service/wake, funeral mass, and burial at Arlington. I am still feeling inspired and very sad from it all.

@Erika- Glad you took my blogroll out for a little spin. There's such talent and skill represented there!

@the watercats- So beautifully said. Thanks.

@Distracted- The days have been filled with tear-jerking moments. Sorry you couldn't watch with your fuzzy slippers on at home, but glad you got to see this video.

@Riyadh- Yes, they are. Yes, it does. And, yes, we do!

@Darlene- Ted was a wonder. It really is a beautiful song. My husband and I have been humming it most of the day, and our anniversary is just around the corner.

@Nancy- Yup, maybe more than we even know now.

@Trish- Welcome here! I've seen your comments on another blog I frequent, but right now I can't remember which one. :)
As to your observation about Ted, and the question following...we can only hope that he will have inspired - if not while alive, then in death - special ones to come forward. But it's a tall order.

@Erin- I've been so inspired too. I saw much of it live, but after the funeral today I took a nap and watched the tour through the Capitol and the burial via the news tonight. I know I missed out on special nuances/stories by not sticking with the programming.

@secret, fragile skies- Brave and generous described his offering in song perfectly. It chokes me up just thinking about it, and of this loss.
