An aging hippie's version of a scarecrow ??? Hmmm, is it scary enough to do the job it's intended for ? Liked your "Dem Bones" video there, incredible that people sit down and dream this stuff up, taking no doubt hours to put a video like that together...

It is true in many ways that, the opposite of peace is scary...

I think that peacecrow is too mild to scare the crows, but it does entertain this peacenik.

If I were a crow, I'd be terrified this guy was gonna make me listen to his Phish tapes, and would stay far away from his cornfield...

@the watercats- Happy Belated Halloween to you too.
You have down pillows? Wow. I haven't since I was a kid. My favorite pillow is a Sobakawa buckwheat pillow; it's my friend.

@Owen- These people out on the road near my town went all out with scarecrows at a country intersection. Good work I thought. As to the video you make a most valid point.....that must have taken hours of work to produce!

@kj- So glad you had a good laugh along with me!

@secret,fragile skies- Jack Handy's brain makes my brain happy, most definitely. :)

@Phivos- Will we see peace in our time? Probably not. But the scarecrow stands in his vigilant watch.....hoping.

@Darlene- Good point, Peacenik! What's strange is that I've never seen a crow out in the fields around here (although they certainly may be there). There are wonderful red-tailed hawks. And geese, but the geese have this last weekend taken to glorious patterns in the sky. They are on their way out of here.

@YogaforCynics- Hehehe. Funny that you'd mention Phish because I wasn't familiar with their work back in 1989 when I worked with a kid who was one of their biggest fans. They weren't too bad, were they?

The scarecrow looks great!

Some people are allergic to certain kinds of pillows I guess..The dove is a little my hypoallergnic? lol

@Friko- I'll hang in there if you promise to, also!

@Nancy- Somehow, I think there would be very little that you and I would disagree about. :)

@Looking to the Stars- Glad you like it. Those folks put a lot of work into their scarecrows.

@Margaret- You are absolutely right - humor is important in the path toward peace.

@Kim- So far the weather has been rather tame, only one big rain. Those scarecrows are holding up well under these conditions.
