Tiger's and Tigger's Reverse Scramble*

Someone Like Me (from The Tigger Movie)

Mostly I'm happy and I'm bouncy
Because I am the onliest one
(hmm hmm hmm)
But now all at once I feel so lonely
For someone like me
(someone like me)
Right now I'm sorta feelin' downsee
I'm just about the loneliest one
(hmm hmm hmm hmm)
And deep in my heart
I'm sorta wishin'
For someone like me
(someone like me)

Somebody with springs and things
Who laughs and sings and jumps everyday
Somebody who's fun, fun, fun
Who loves to trounce and pounce and
bounce the gloomies away
(hoo-hoo...)

How I dream there is another
A double or a triple of me
(to keep him company)
But since I'm awake I feel so lonely
Because I know it can't be
(it never can be)

Being the I'm the one and onliest
someone like me
Someone like me

I can't find a clip from the movie in English, but it sure sounds poignant when sung in the Finnish language.....

*Reverse Scramble
Definition from About.com:  In a normal scramble, members of a team tee off, then choose the best of the tee shots, and all team members then play their second shot from that location. The best of the second shots is chosen, and so on, until the ball is holed.

As you might guess, a reverse scramble is, well, the reverse of that: the worst of the tee balls is chosen, and that's where the second shot is played. The worst of the second shots is chosen, and the third stroke is played from that location; and so on, until the ball is holed.

We strongly recommend against using reverse scramble as the format for a tournament. This game requires many more strokes to complete a round, and takes a lot of time to play for groups of golfers.

Instead, treat reverse scramble as a practice game. Play it when you're on the course alone, hitting two balls off each tee. Or play it against one friend in a twosome, with each of you hitting two balls on each hole.

Because of the added time a reverse scramble adds to a round, it's recommended that you play it only when your course is uncrowded and golfers behind won't have to wait on you.

Reverse scramble is a good practice game because choosing the worst of two balls will allow you to hit many more shots of different varieties, shots you probably don't otherwise practice very often.

Hey Lydia - so sorry that my visits have been infrequent recently. All sorts of stuff goin on here in pixie land!

Tigger is great, though I'm not so sure about Tiger (though I did see a key chain with a picture of Tigger and the word Tiger - which i assume was not Disney issued!)

Oh, Tigger has much more gravitas in Finnish.

I have a feeling Finnish wouldn't do much for Tiger's rep, though.

I think Tiger may be waiting a while to get his bounce back. Serves him right. (Which would be a pretty good pun, if he were a tennis player).

@Pixies- I certainly understand. I'll make it around Pixie Land more after the holidays are over, too.
I don't think that was a Disney piece, either!

@Erin- Gravitas is a great word to use for that!

@English Rider- All good sports would understand that it's a good pun anyway:)

Too funny!

Hah -- and while the Finnish is nice, Swedish might have been even better.

@Hattie- Not really.....I realize from Jennifer's comments that it could have been even funnier!

@Jennifer- I'm kicking myself now because there was a Swedish version right there and I didn't connect the dots to Tiger's Swedish wife. Damn you're good!

I suppose many are a bit "teed off" about thee golf hero "Tiger W." but to me it means nothing.

When your famous though that seems to be what people get off on...we build them up to be big "Sports heros" or big "Hollywood Actors" and such and then they get all famous make lots of money and then we put them down and destroy them for being imperfect. Yes looks like big money can do that to you..but what about rich humans in general? Just goes to show being rich doesn't always bring happiness.

I just have never gotten this sick pattern we humans seem to have in getting off on others "Sins" but not looking at their own..

Oh well, not sure if anyone thinks I am making sense or not...

Hope your staying warm Lydia and enjoying the holidays.
