Mag 35 - Falling

What are you doing?

Spinning.

Why?

Shhhh....  I want to hear the leaves.

Hear them do what?

Whisper goodbye to their trees.

- and what else?

And chatter against one another on the way down.

You are spinning faster now.

More are coming, and more.
Ginko, ginko, maple, birch, ginko, aspen, birch, ginko, ginko maple birch ginko, aspenaspenmaplebirchmapleginkoaspenbirchbirchmaple...
maple aspen ginko

Aren't you getting dizzy?

Yes!  But this is how I do it.

Do what?

Make a kaleidoscope of falling.

Book Bird Dog~ I appreciate your kind comment.

willow~ Loved the prompt (thank you) and your new profile pic too!

Berowne~ You made me quite happy with that comment.

madamebutterfly~ The prompt photo is stunning in its simplicity...yet there is so much there to see!

YogaforCynics~ Thanks, Dr. Jay.

Helen~ I appreciate your appreciation so much!

Indigo~ If we ever have a chance to meet I hope it is in autumn so we can spin in the leaves together. :)

Kristen Haskell~ Wow, you paid the highest compliment by following my blog. Thank you very much!

Pixies~ Thank you! If it was a joy for you to read then I consider it a good Magpie indeed. :)

Travelin'Oma~ My pleasure. It was funny the way an esoteric google search brought your blog up in the long list. Since my nephews called my mother "Oma" I clicked on your link!

The structure of this lends itself so well to the poem. Also, loved that word, kaleidoscope, and used it in my Magpie this week, as well.

Abhilasha~ Thank you! How fun that you called my post a wonderful show!

Martin H~ How nice of you to say that. Much appreciated.

Roxana~ Suddenly warm is how my heart frequently feels when I view your photography. Will be by after Saturday...

Fireblossom~ Ha! Thanks, you.

Carrie~ I'm tickled you think so!

Terresa~ Many thanks. You used kaleidoscope also? That is so ironic and fun. I have not read anyone's Magpies yet this week and probably won't until after Saturday when I get to meet a group of bloggers in Portland for a meet-up! Can't wait to see your use of the word. :)

That was wonderful and very sweet. <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rH8XSuI2TmsThis</a>, on the other hand, is something different. You may remember :-)

****HELLO EVERYONE**** It is a busier-than-usual weekend/beginning of week and I have not been able to get to any of your Magpies yet. I promise I will be by before the next Magpie!
***

Rene/Not The Rockefellers~ (I must find out the story behind the second part of your profile name!) Thank you so much for your comments!

Nancy~ Aw, that makes me feel good. :)

Tumblewords~ Thanks much! It was an inspiring prompt this week.

Brian Miller~ From your profile pic I can tell you know playfulness, so your comment means a lot. :)

Susan~ HAHA! It took me a minute to make the link work...but worth the visit. Nope, that is not familiar to me. Don't know how I missed out on so much Python, but it is a gap in my comedic growth (or stunting of growth, as it were). I loved that video!

Lydia said...

Angie~ Thank you! I just thought it would make a great kaleidoscope, but the Nero PhotoSnap did the work. :)

kathew~ I love the four descriptive words you used in your comment! (If you were at the meet-up Saturday I am sorry I was late and missed meeting you. :(

Belette Rouge~ Well, in order to attempt something like that I would need to engage the artists of the two pictures. Or at least the artist of the little spinning guy as the main character. I wonder....... :)

Helena said...

Lydia - this is the most amazing pie I've come across. The best scrolling down I've done in ages!

Lydia said...

Lena~ What a lovely comment! You would have no idea of how thrilled I was to read it if I did not tell you. And I just did! Thank you so much. :)
