Friday Flash 55 -- she thought

Photobucket

I have been wanting to join Flash Fiction 55 for awhile now, and this seemed like the week to do it. I found this photo at Photobucket and used the site's "decorated images" function to add the caption (story).

The challenge is to write a story in exactly 55 words. Flash Fiction 55 is hosted by Mr. KnowItAll

I'm glad the wait is over!
What a perfect way to start.
Your 55 was fantastic My Friend.
I hope you found this to be Creative, Challenging, and FUN!!
Thanks for playing, and have a Kick Ass Week-End...G

It isn't just that our pictures can remain long after we try to remove them. It's what other people will do with our images. Consider the family who found their vacation shot on a billboard in Denmark.

Nicely done!

Brian~ Seeing your 55s were my main incentive to give it a try. Thank you and Happy Friday.
That first line you quoted? I wrote it when I was about this girl's age....

izzy~ Thank you, and fun to have you here.

G-Man~ I can tell you are a winning coach because of the excellent 55s I have been seeing on other blogs. It was great fun and I will see you again. Enjoy you own K-A weekend!

Alice Audrey~ Agree. As to this altered picture, the folks who stick their stuff out on Photobucket do so with full understanding (perhaps hope?) that others will use them. What seemed strange to me was that there was actually a place to click if I wanted to make this shot my own profile pic. That is weird. btw, I had not heard of the Danish billboard...that is a shocker.

Cheryl~ Thanks much. I look forward to reading yours and others throughout the weekend.

Glad you joined this motley 55 crew. There is always room for more.

Great pic; great writing.
You'd be great in radio. Most radio news stories are only about 55 words these days.

Mama Zen~ Means a lot. I have always loved your name and avatar when I've seen it around the blogosphere. :)

Monkey Man~ Glad to be a part. I have always loved motley crews.

Rob-bear~ Radio? Wouldn't have seen that one coming! The station I listen to most often is this station ("Listen Now" button at top of page) and it runs world news from the BBC. Some quality there.

BBC world news. Quality. Indeed.

Leslie~ Thank you so much. I can tell it is a great group, and so welcoming!
How do I find your blog, Leslie? I clicked on your name in your comment on another of my posts and I get only your profile page...no way to access your blog. :(
