Friday Flash 55 — emptying

Living in open hibernation
with jade-hued trees —
Water features in their lives,
      and in mine.

The sky takes
notice - shows a sheen more
glowing than my heart's
golden light in this temple
of stone and glass emptying
of itself.

Soon, clouds follow and
the sacred forest listens
as my temple hums and
glistens, emptying.

My post in exactly 55 words written for Friday Flash 55.

I can't help wondering if the emptying is a good thing.

Mary~ Thank you, and have a peaceful weekend!

G-Man~ Thanks, G. I hope your weekend has tranquil moments mixed in with your usual fun!

Alice Audrey~ Oh, I think it is a very good thing, indeed. I thought that this post was actually better suited to my other blog, Clutterquake. Now I think I will post it there anyway!

Nara~ I am so touched by your comment. Thank you.

Your lovely poem is the essence of Zen concepts. I really do appreciate them, but my heart still longs for the warm hearth in a cozy cottage.

Pixies~ So glad you like it, and thanks for still visiting in spite of my not doing Old Postcard Wednesdays anymore. :)

susan~ So strange, I just was at your blog prior to coming to these comments. Your latest two posts filled me with such wonder. I would indeed love to re-read them while sitting near a warm hearth in a cozy cottage!

Brian~ Indeed. And I too thought it was a beautiful design.

Pixies ~ Aw, much appreciated. Don't know where you find the time, being the creative novelist that you are. :)
