Friday Flash 55 — MH370

Image: Albuquerque by Bryan Collins

She will not look down -
will never give up - will
trace invisible contrails
making circles in the skies
over many lands, teasing
blue waters that wave
back, then swell and fold
over stories forever untold -
    while she grows old
looking up (never drown)
as dark arcs deepen
under her arid eyes,
    and time flies.

My post in exactly 55 words written for Friday Flash 5. Next week will be the final week that G-Man will be our Host here. Thanks so much for your many encouraging words, Galen. I will miss you!

as long as she keeps looking up...it can be hard too because life will wear you down....esp when you see so many dreams unfulfilled....but keep looking up

I enjoy the optimism here. Always looking up...that's something we should always do, no matter which age or stage we are at!!

What a lonely way of looking at the world. Great 55.

If you don't look down,
you may trip
over something,
perhaps something
important.

But what do Bears really know?

Blessings and Bear hugs, Lydia!

I have never been dealt a blow such as this… hope I never am. My heart goes out to them.

It's a beautiful testament to the sadness and uncertainty.

lydia, isn't it time for a book of your poetry? at least a chapbook?

your economy of words is painterly. more and more so.

love from me
