It's so darn beautiful and the meaning behind it is too.

I don't know, maybe it is an antonym for passerby. My mind just stuck on Furby when I first saw it and won't let that go. But of course it doesn't stand for Furby!Lydiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11135393270656573516noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4039445774186145767.post-6933493065571914862010-07-22T17:18:35.976-07:002010-07-22T17:18:35.976-07:00I'm stumped as to what "f-rby" refer...I'm stumped as to what "f-rby" refers to. The first thing that comes to mind when you see "f-" is the F word, but that doesn't make any sense here. Unless Gary is pulling semi-Palin and inventing a new profanity.

In the sense, possibly it's an antonym of "passerby." So, instead of being an "innocent passerby," Wade could have been a "sneaky f-rby."

BTW, "gloaming" is one of my favorite words.K.https://www.blogger.com/profile/10222703055177237209noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4039445774186145767.post-62851932255407981122010-07-22T13:01:47.951-07:002010-07-22T13:01:47.951-07:00Looking to the Stars~ p.s. Now, can you explain what the author meant when he shortened one word or expression this way: "f-rby" ? I am clueless and my husband didn't know either.

Looking to the Stars~ I did not write the piece you are laughing at, my friend! Please note that I am quoting a man named "Gary" who was a part of a conversation thread at the site I linked above the quote.

Look at it this way, we both find the same thing very funny. :) I'm so glad you enjoyed it too!Lydiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11135393270656573516noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4039445774186145767.post-56054015927347715352010-07-22T11:17:18.322-07:002010-07-22T11:17:18.322-07:00This was fascinating!!!! I have to say that something about "She died with a groan" also made me laugh. I know its not funny. To be honest I didn't know about her either until looking for information after deciding her card would be the postcard this week. Do you think that Jim Nelson did a good job with those songs?
