You are on a roll and it's great.

My main associations with Reno is The Misfits, kind of an outsider's view. I love hearing the insider's view, your memories and associations with this postcard. It's interesting how a small photograph elicits memories, how many connections our minds make.jhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07959874504681715396noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4039445774186145767.post-85115196139584125842009-01-09T01:18:00.000-08:002009-01-09T01:18:00.000-08:00dmarks,You know, when you mention the arch I reali...dmarks,
You know, when you mention the arch I realized that in my post I mentioned the scene in the card looked similar to when I would drag main with friends in high school. But that all happened underneath the one that replaced this one, that gawdy one that was called the hippie arch. In my memories, though, I always see this earlier one (although I really like the one there now).Lydiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11135393270656573516noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4039445774186145767.post-43093322564891669692009-01-08T19:28:00.000-08:002009-01-08T19:28:00.000-08:00I love Reno, but have no postcards of it. Could it have been so upsetting as to produce an allergy? Hmmmm.

Distracted,
I. hate. freezing. rain.

Steve @ fluxlife,
Hey ho, come by whenever you can. Always fun to "see" you.

Yolanda,
I'm glad we've become friends, too. I promise to always be honest; it's who I am!

Melinda,
What a funny wedding story! I love it. That sounds like a Reno story for sure. So you were married to a Michael, as I am now married to a Michael. I use my first husband's middle name in my blog because he's an attorney and if he somehow tracked me down I don't want to be sued for writing about our relationship. :)Lydiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11135393270656573516noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4039445774186145767.post-65941832869911928512009-01-07T18:22:00.000-08:002009-01-07T18:22:00.000-08:00Lydia--I have to say that your post brought back s...Lydia--I have to say that your post brought back some real memories for me. My first husband (Michael) and I were married in Reno, Nevada. We didn't have any witnesses and this huge party were getting married before us. They felt so sorry for us they decided to stay on and be our 'guests' as well. When I showed people pictures of my wedding, they would ask, "who are these people?" And I could never say who they were!

Cheers,

MelindaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4039445774186145767.post-47230731877933272652009-01-07T14:23:00.000-08:002009-01-07T14:23:00.000-08:00Thanks for stopping by and for getting what I wrot...Thanks for stopping by and for getting what I wrote because I took what she said they way you did. You can tell from the writing how much the place and this postcard means to you.

An early memory for you to share - me sitting to the table opposite my brother eating breakfast. A fly lands on the toast and i eat the bread. I'm not sure now if this was a dream (i seem to remember eating square bread - which seems impossible due to my allergies and the timing of the memory) -it has a dream-like surealness to it!Don't Feed The Pixieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05380146661526476947noreply@blogger.com
