The Flair Flares: a poem









The Flair Flares

This is our goodbye.

The star-crossed couple
goes out with flair.
Wave-fanned winds breathe
over the hills and brush up the scents
surrounding us there in a
spring of wonderful flowers,
swooping up dreams
of how we each
shall fare.

    Great imagery, great poem. I envy all you people who can write non-rhyming poems and make them so vivid!

    Lydia, I really like this poem. In its unique treatment of star-crossed lovers, even though they have to part... this poem emotes thankfulness and joy, not all angst and pain. Love it! My favorite part - "brush up the scents"!

    Hi Lydia, I enjoyed this, and believe you could write a really cool FORM poem. Why not write a pantoum, or a villanelle?-- as these forms play well with the alliterative repetition you have created here!

BEGINNING IN 2014 I will reply to only occasional comments here, while appreciating every visit and all comments!
