    Where is the picture from ??? Is this the volcanic eruption in Iceland ???

    No, I'm sure not, but can't seem to get away from that in the news these days...

    Phivos~ Yes I do. Thank you for noticing!

    Owen~ No, not the volcano. This is actually painting from the Hudson Valley School that I stored in drafts last year. Unfortunately, I did not note the painter, but I had kept the title, "Sunset in the Yosemite Valley" and the date painted is 1868. Just Googled it and the painter was Albert Bierstadt.
    Thanks for asking, Owen, as I will add the info to the post.

    I love this painting it is spellbounding! Ever since a small child and still to this day and always...like Madam Marie Curie, I have thought the same thing about the beauty of nature...throughout my entire life, I have often felt it has saved my life during trying times.

    Of course I'm no Madam Marie Curie!..;o)

    Rhi~ I feel that the beauty of nature has saved, if not my life, my emotional well-being throughout my life.
    The painting is indeed wonderful and it makes me want to see Yosemite once in my lifetime. :)
