I'm a bit bogged down with minutia today: tedious chores, animal issues, and must-do's at my desk. Without my favorite classical music radio station as background the day would collapse in on itself, dragging me into the whir.
There's a link at the end of this post to one of those quizzes that are fun from time to time. My results - below - were right on in this instance. I basically love all kinds of music, but, as with the old saying You Are What You Eat, in other ways You Are The Music You Prefer..........

ReplyDeleteI have a little I-Pod Shuffle, which is how I like to listen to music these days. The classical selections on our public radio station, which is all we have here, don't do much for me.
@Hattie- KBPS played "The Lark Ascending" one day this week and I lost five pounds!

Today i am also reggae music - though i see myself more as the blues: often miserable, simplistic on the surface but so deep underneath and with a biting humour! xx

ReplyDeleteI used to love getting high and listening to Mozart’s Requiem or Mahler 5th symphony now days I am a family man. I still listen to classical music but in a sober state:)

ReplyDelete@Pixies- I don't know The Bluetones. I do rely on word of mouth to introduce me to indie groups (they are plentiful and for the most part hidden). Yeah, your writing seems more jazz than reggae to me.

@Buddha- Interesting about your prior listening experience with classical. My step-father liked it and so I had exposure via records as a kid. Then I found it again in college, but got high listening to rock instead. When I got sober is when classical music and I merged.
You know, there's actually some rap I prefer over some country!

ReplyDeleteHave you seen "Coraline"? It's not a movie I'd have had interest in (animation) but one of my favorite bloggers, an accomplished artist, just raved about it at her blog. She said to BE SURE to see it in 3-D. I'm excited because it's coming to our town theater next.
