Call Back the Day: a poem

Call Back the Day

When I leave you at night

I always look back

drawing a last melancholy ballad

from your eyes.

When you are
out of view, shivers
happen.

They slide

through me

like tears.

I call back the day

when you brush by me,

tending my ass
with your palm.

Though i feel sorry for the Donkey (bad joke - consider my hand slapped!)

Seriously - "drawing a last melancholy ballad" - that's lovely imagery

  3. Well, I do like how you slip that last bit in at the end. But all of it is quite nice (including the labels: get your loving' at home).

    Who is the lucky guy?

  5. @Steve- Wow (that's wow backwards), thanks!

@Pixies- Your comments, both complimentary and comedic, are appreciated as always. :)

@Wayfaring Wanderer- but, but, all (good) (and bad) things come to an end. :)

@Jennifer- A.Mazing that you'd comment on the label because when I tagged it that way I thought Jennifer's gonna get this, not for any particular reason other than your labels are always pertinent to your topics.

    @Buddha- Thanks.....I think!
Oh, and you can find out all about the guy here ... :)
