  1. Up was such an amazing movie. I cried numerous times during the film and reading that line reminded me of one of those sobs of a melancholy joyousness. What a beautiful story.

  3. Jhon~ I agree with you! :)

Kim~ The friend who recommended the film told me to bring lots of tissue. I was really moved but did not cry (it may have had something to do with the expectation that I would).

Disney should be so proud of this film. For me, it surpassed Avatar in great entertainment.

Kathe~ Yes, it was splendid! :)

  4. I must be getting stoney-hearted in my old age. The friend who told me about "UP!" gave me the tissue warning, too. But when I watched it, I enjoyed it, but didn't think it was great, nor did I get overly emotionally invested in it. And I DO cry sometimes at movies like this. Just not this one.

  5. Fireblossom~ You are anything but stoney-hearted and anyone who reads your poetry knows it!
Your not getting "overly emotionally invested" in the movie makes sense to me. It describes my viewing of it as well. I was absolutely delighted with the art and animation and my appreciation was felt on that level. That is why this one line meant so much, I guess, because it was more emotional than dazzling or great fun. :)
btw, the friend who suggested I bring tissues was a guy!
