Guru-vy

I am The Guru? Well, not hardly. But I do recognize myself in some parts of this description. The quiz was interesting and you can take it by clicking on the link at the end of the post. Have fun!

You Are the Guru

You are a naturally good counselor. You are inspiring, encouraging, and compassionate.

You are eager to help everyone who crosses your path, even those who don't want to be helped.

You are a natural healer. People feel at peace when they are with you.

You are so good for people, in fact, that they go through withdrawal once you're gone.

You quietly do your own thing, without openly resisting. You secretly try to fix every problem.

Your biggest regret is not being able to help as many people as you'd like.

  1. Hi Guru ;-),

earnestly, Lydia, lots if not all of the above qualities apply to you, that's for sure! It's like a description of Lydia :-).

I'm a philospher, by the way...

  2. "People feel at peace with you", except that poor minority that you are trying to help that doesn't want help:>) Are you the one making that little old lady cross the street when she's going another way???
I took the test and I'm The Innovator. Damn if the picture doesn't look dead on like me. Platinum blonde hair--check, lots of black eye make-up--check-check. Eerie.
    Have a good week, guru-grrrl.

  3. Guru/Lydia,

I think that quiz describes you perfectly! I'm trying to catch up on reading all your posts tonight, and I really liked the youtube video you posted of the cover of wake me up when september ends. Such a beautiful song, and very fitting.
Have you heard of www.freerice.com? It's a great way to make a difference right from your computer desk (:

  5. Francessa,
How fun to read your impressions! You're so kind, my friend. I can definitely see you in the role of philosopher; it's that (and more) that attracted me to your blog from the beginning! I wish I could see what it says for the Philosopher....

    Distracted,
No, the old lady thanked me profusely as I recall. It's my in-laws that don't want to be helped (I gave up last year) ;) As with the results for Francessa's quiz, I really wish I could read and see what the results are for the Innovator. Maybe the site has a place to do that; I'm going to check.

    Rachael,
Thanks for the nice compliment! I'm definitely going to check out the website you noted (are you a guru too?) :) Noella Choi does such a fantastic job of Wake Me Up When September Ends. Did you visit her website listed at the end of the video? Love her voice.

    Wayfaring Wanderer,
You are so sweet to say that! My sister, who lives half-way across the country from me, says that she and her boys miss my sense of humor after a visit. Leave 'em laughing.... :)

  6. Johno,
Once again, I wish I could see what the traits are of your particular role!

BEGINNING IN 2014 I will reply to only occasional comments here, while appreciating every visit and all comments! My reason is to enable me to utilize that time to read and comment on your blog posts instead! If/when I get more organized I may later return to replying to comments here, but one of my New Years resolutions is to spend more time at your sites: reading, enjoying, learning! Thank you for understanding.

If your blog is associated with a Google+ account, I may not be able to visit you from your namelink. I do not wish to join Google+ and the site sometimes requires that I do so in order to read/comment on posts there.
