Old Postcard Wednesday--Language of Flowers, Rose: "Love"


I'm too tired tonight to fiddle around with translation sites. In fact, it took me awhile to see that LOVE is spelled out in roses on this postcard. This happens to be one of those postcards that I find more interesting on the back than the front, with the note written in Finnish to my paternal grandmother and that most excellent stamp! Don't get me wrong, though, roses are always fully appreciated.......

    @Erin- So glad you appreciated the postcard and the poem, although the poem is lame lame lame compared to your poetry. :)

    @Distracted- Ah, such an honor. And yes, I agree that it was in keeping with "the dead" portion of this post. I quickly passed it on....didn't want to ruffle any feathers by not being a good egg. :)

    @Acolyte Tao- And with only minutes to go here on the west coast I will indeed with you a Happy April Fools as well....but why would I, oh never mind......

    @Judith- I think it's a beauty too. I'm glad you also didn't "see 'Love'" right away. Actually, it was very pronounced in my thumbnails file and that's where it popped out for me. Ah, yes, the Zombie Chicken....hard to top that award!
