Hoping your Thanksgiving was great. I had soup here in my apartment. Friends stopped by inviting me for dessert at the corner bistro, but I’m watching my weight so didn’t go. They were surprised by my new minimalist décor. I really do feel good about giving so much stuff away.

I received a message from the sculptor whose art was my inspiration for last week's FF55, and I added it to the end of that post. He tells where the marvelous piece is now located!

Brian~ Yeah, her life has been pared down too much for me, and seems more a call for help than a design preference.
dmarks~ Long time! I must visit you too. I will wear clothes to do so. That model can dress as she chooses. :)
G-Man~ You got where I was going with this. She looked alarmingly skinny to me and I took it from there. Have read many sources that caution if a person begins to give away their belongings it is a warning sign they are planning suicide.
Your 55 was of a much happier note!
Nara Malone~ I admire that you are a minimalist. I acquired so much clutter when my mother died that I was paralyzed by it. I have given away and sold much of it, but I am not yet where I want to be (which is certainly not where this model is!).
less is way more...after Katrina, I fit my Life in the bed of a pick up and carried on....I rather enjoy the lightness I now carry

RD~ What a remarkable story you must have. Thank you for sharing an inspiring snippet of it here. I do wish I could be totally over the inertia that prevents me from sweeping through the boxes, etc. both in storage and in one upstairs room. Our house is small and I want to unburden it (and me) of much of this stuff. I don't even like a lot of the furniture that I bought through the years. My taste has changed!
