BodyVox Dance Company is an award-winning dance troupe from Portland, Oregon. Mike and I have been fortunate to see them dance in Portland Opera's performance of Carmina Burana (twice, actually, and once on a simpler stage with piano).

Prior to becoming a filmmaker, Mitchell Rose was a New York-based choreographer and performance artist specializing in comedic work, and dubbed "the dance world's Woody Allen" by The New York Times. Eventually he was drawn more to visual media where he could reach a broader audience on a more emotional level and disbanded his company to become a Directing Fellow at the American Film Institute. His films have now won a total of thirty-four awards in film festivals including "Elevator World" which won the Grand Prize for Best Short at Slamdance 2000.Music: Meditation from 'Thaïs' by Jules Massenet.
