Octopus's Garden as Puppet Therapy

I have two videos for the weekend to close out my garden-related posts this week.

Where the video coming on Sunday touched my heart, this one tickled me no end.

I'm still in a bit of a Woodstock frame of mind after the post yesterday, so let's hang around in 1969 a bit longer for this song written by Ringo Starr that year. Some background from Wikipedia:

The idea for the song came about when Starr was on a boating trip with his family in Sardinia in 1968. He was offered an octopus lunch, but turned it down. Then the boat's captain told Starr about how octopi travel along the sea bed picking up stones and shiny objects with which to build gardens. Starr said that hearing about octopi spending their days collecting shiny objects at the bottom of the sea was one of the happiest things he had ever heard, inspiring him to write this song.

Happy Summer Solstice, everyone, and have a great weekend.

Mibsy,
Indeed; those two girls do such a cute job with the puppets. :)

Alice C,
Thanks for visiting. I haven't listed an email because our cable company has been purchased by another, resulting in a forced e-address change soon; sorry!
