543 Blogland Lane.....blessings to all who enter here

Owen recently posted a photo of his dwelling at 524 Blogland Lane and gave the link to learn more about this new community that is growing organically in the blogosphere. I was excited. I love imaginary places and lived in them for most of my childhood, as many of us did. But Blogland Lane is going to be better than an imaginary place, because bloggers will inhabit and nourish it.

To become a part of the community you can learn all the details here. And there are follow-up posts here and the latest here showing the Blogland Lane logo displayed above that has just been developed by one of the residents.

a wide choice of available land
including double lots,
lakeside, ocean front,
small plots, rambling acreage,
dells with forest canopies,
tree lined, flat, or hilly terrain,
whatever you want.

Suggestions:
Just put up a picture of your home/yard
on your own blog
and the place is yours!
Provide any details and descriptions you want,
and put out the Welcome Mat
or the ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign.
Whatever.
.
(Just leave a comment on kj's blog letting people know they can see
your house on your blog.)

So, folks below is a photo of my humble abode at 543 Blogland Lane (I hope the house number 543 hasn't already been taken, and I wish kj luck in keeping all the addresses in order!). It's a wonderful house and I'm going to enjoy having you visit. The welcome mat is officially out.

[Actually, in finding this photo I have stumbled upon a most amazing true-life community of kindred spirits in Finland, where this lovely Soderkulla Manor is found. It is in Sibbo (fi Sipoo), Finland, and introduced at the website of one of its residents as:
...a medium sized community at the south coast of Finland close to Helsinki
Despite the short distance to the capital the nature is still rather unspoilt and there are vast areas of forests and small lakes mixed with agricultural countryside.

Sibbo lies on the famous King’s Road, one of the oldest trade routes in Europe running all the way from Bergen in Norway, through Sweden and Finland to St Petersburg in Russia.....

Sibbo-Sipoo is a bilingual community with about 55/45 Finnish and Swedish speaking population. Both languages are understood and spoken by the majority of the inhabitants.

There is even have a Monument of Friendship (see photo) that symbolizes the friendship and cooperation between communes in four towns: in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Finland.

Without house-hunting for my place in Blogland Lane I'd never have known about Sibbo-Sippo, a place I'd love to actually visit one day.]

@soulbrush- Thanks for my first welcome to Blogland Lane! Your good wishes about cleaning up the place are appreciated also. :)

@Wieneke from no 30- I so appreciate the glowing welcome and invitation. You seem to be one of the most well-organized residents on Blogland Lane. Your Flower & Gift Shop will be very popular, I'm sure!

@kj- Having a welcome from our host/leader makes it seem official. I now feel like a bona fide Blogland Laner.
Tessa's art is awesome!

@Erin- Great! Hope we'll be neighbors. :)

@Maggie May- I hope you have a great tour and decide it might be just the neighborhood for you.

@Phivos- A global community could be a lot of good fun!

Welcome, and your home has a lovely conservatory, I can just imagine laying on a chaise and reading in that lovely windowed room.

How wonderful your search brought you to Finland and this community. That is what's been a lot of fun about Blogland Lane...I have visited places I would have missed otherwise!

@Teri and the cats of Furrydance- I love the conservatory too! Come have tea soon! This is going to be a great experience being a part of the Blogland Lane community.

Have only a quick time here at the computer, as my husband's day-long project is now advancing into a projected early Monday a.m. I'll be by your blog, and the other residents' blogs tomorrow.

@secret, fragile skies- O, thanks so much. Do you think you might entertain the thought of moving to Blogland Lane? It has its own website now. If you click on the logo of BL in my sidebar it'll whisk you away to the website where you can read more and maybe decide to become a resident.
