Sunset Face by Josh Sommers
Each Afternoon
~by Idea Vilarino
Each afternoon draws to a close
beautifully dies
and each of us
each of us?
admires that beauty knowing
knowing?
it's yet one more that's dying
yet one more that's running out
yet one more that's slipping away
yet one more that never again
one more
one less.

a melancholy poem for evening. I don't like to think of it that way.
since all this is true, it must be time to party...!

sooooo beautiful the picture, the face the idea the poem the truth ;)
Darlene~ I agree that it is melancholy, but it truly suits the way I've been feeling. I think it has something to do with the Haiti earthquake. That, and my growing awareness that I have unfinished business...
kj~ Hilarious! And a wake-up call/invitation to make some fun.
ValGalArt~ Isn't that a fascinating technique in the picture? I was riveted to the screen when I saw it. The verse is by a woman Uruguayan poet, a marvelous poet I'm just discovering.
I so understand this right now.
Jennifer~ It goes along with that feeling that things are about to change in your life that you mentioned in your latest post. Incidentally, I've been feeling that strongly also.
