Thought for the Day by Edward Coppola
Today is the auspicious occasion of the births of both Francessa and Jung.
You are a dream of a friend, Francessa!
All the works of man have their origin in creative fantasy. What right have we then to depreciate imagination. ~ Carl Jung

Creativity reign high here...
ok - so this is slightly tangential, but one of the things I loved about the sit-com Frazier was it had some fairly highbrow jokes that didn't treat the audience like they were stupid
And there was an episode where Frazier was ill and his brother Niles was running the radio show where Niles says, "whilst Frazier is a Freudian, i am a Jungian: so there'll be no blaming mother today!"
always a pleasure to visit your site xx
How did I forget? Happy bday, Jung and, to your friend, Francessa!
xo
Wow, Lydia--more changes here at WriterQuake--I love the new look and love the photo. What a great piece by Edward Coppola. Really marvelous.
I hope you are well! I am finally coming up for air after doing the last, final push on my book. I can't believe it, Lydia--but it's finally finished and it is really good. I am so proud!
Take care!
Melinda
Carl Jung's name is popping up everywhere now and I wondered why. Then you posted his birthday and I now understand.
I love the Freud/Jung joke.
Erratic Thoughts~ Thank you kindly. The same can be said for your blog. :)
Pixies~ Thank you. :)
So funny to recall that particular Frazier episode! I did see it and it seems funnier with time. You are right about that sit-com. It was one of my favorites, too.
La Belette Rouge~ I'm sure the good wishes will be appreciated. Probably more from Francessa than by Jung...
Melinda~ Glad you like the new look. I agree with you about the Coppola painting.
I am well, thank you, but not feelin' as good as someone who has just completed a major work! I am SO HAPPY for you. I want to buy the book, of course..... preferably an autographed copy!
Darlene~ I hadn't seen so much of it because I didn't spend much time online during the day. I'm glad his b-day was duly noted!
I love the Freud/Jung joke too. :)Have you visited Don't Feed the Pixies? You would be intrigued and delighted, I am sure of that.
Thank you so much for this lovely post, Lydia! I had visitors yesterday, lots of calls, a little party in the evening - so I didn't come near my notebook all day long! But what a nice surprise to see this today first thing in the morning! :-)
Thank you for the wishes, La Belette Rouge!
francessa~ Wonderful! It sounds like you had a great birthday! The last time I had a party on my birthday I was under ten years old because I can remember what house it was in and we moved around that time...
May the good feelings generated last all week long and be remembered always. :)
such a wonderful and generous post, Lydia... i can't say i always agree with Jung, but i always go back to him, no matter what...
Roxana~ "always go back to him, no matter what..." is a mysterious and wonderful expression.
