I'd never heard of this film. But if you recommend it, it must be good! Will try to rent it soon xxx
I haven't seen this one. Will have to check it out, thanks :)
Shaista~ I think you would love it. The film is precious. I cannot think of any other film I would call precious, and you wouldn't think of that word to necessarily describe the immigrant experience and prejudice - but it stays close in the heart after seeing it and that is a precious gift.
Looking to the Stars~ I think you would be totally engaged in the story and acting. See my comments above to Shaista also.
Rain here this weekend; I hope it's sunny in Colorado!
Howdy ;)
There are truly amazing lines in movies, from "we've got to protect our phoney baloney jobs" in Blazing Saddles to . . . Bear suddenly draws mental blank. Moving house has been totally exhausting. I sure I'll find my brain in one of the boxes, sooner or later.
Tabitha~ !Howdy! to you. Long time; I will visit your blog to see what's new... :)
Rob-bear~ Funny Bear, you are so tired that all you could think of was a line from Blazing Saddles! The line is great, btw! If you key in Movie lines I love in my blog's search box you can see the series of movie quotes I have posted so far. Be sure to do this in all the spare time you currently have....Hah!
I love it too dear Lydia!
Phivos~ Have you seen Sweet Land? If so, you will like the movie and the quote!
I got this from Netflix a while back, on a chance, and liked it quite a lot. :-)
Fireblossom~ Similarly, we picked it off a shelf at the video store without knowing anything about it. I love good surprises like that!
