Friday Flash 55 -- Fedelmid and Crundmáel

Fedelmid, wearing green shoes,
Crundmáel in the bright yellers,
are the goofs of their Irish town--
those daft twin bachelor fellers.

This is what makes townsfolk frown:
All year they wear those green hues
at their longtime jobs as bank tellers.....

Come St. Pat’s they always tone down
in white shirts and custom suit blues!

I'm not Irish, but I'd love a kiss from a Redhead.
Thanks for playing, and have a Kick Ass Week-End

I'm very Irish and it's time to start celebrating! Thanks for the fun photo.

Typical for the Irish to be contrary... it's in our nature!

This is hilarious, Lydia--and it's got that spit in yer eye, mocking authority Irish quality down pat--er St Pat? Loved it.

Love this! Why in the world would they want to be like everyone else on St. Patty's Day. Better to be yourself all year round. (Hugs)Indigo

I heard on the news the other day that there is a barwoman who is dreading St Patrick's Day as the sight and smell of Guinness makes her sick

Not being Irish (well, maybe one fifth somewhere as our family is a mix of everything) I don't usually celebrate St Patrick's Day - but one year I did go to see The Levellers (an Irish group that do a mix of pop and folk influenced music) on St Patrick's Day - and it was a fantastic concert

If you don't know the band then do a search on YouTube for "What A Beautiful Day" or "Fifteen Years" - great, great songs

As long as there's no "up a long ladder and down a short rope," we'll all be fine.

Happy St. Pat's and all. And may the Little People cause you no harm.

izzy~ Never thought of that combo before! Thanks.

Brian~ Smiles and Happy St. Paddy's to you!

G-Man~ Oh, I think so! Thanks for the good wishes and right back atcha.

Yvonne~ Are you very Irish enough to be preparing an authentic St. Pat's dinner? If so, what is your address?!!!

Bubba~ Ye might be contrary, but ye be lots of fun, aye!

hedgewitch~ Tickles me that you liked this and your comment tickled me too. Happy St. Patrick's Day to you.

Wander~ Thanks! Have a great weekend.

Indigo~ Indeed! And I think you are one who lives by that motto.

Kathe~ Silly lads indeed. Happy St. Pat's to ye!

Other Mary~ I just roared at your comment. Thanks much and happy weekend!

Mama Zen~ Hehe. Missed you. Will jig over to your blog this weekend.

Pixies~ Hmmm. Seems over here people celebrate the day whether or not they have any Irish in them. In my case that would be approx. 1/4 (Scots Irish, a combo that mystifies me no end because it's hard to find info on it). In my drinking days I hit the pubs, I sure did. As for this St. Pat's I plan on visiting the vids you suggested at YouTube.

Rob-bear~ Oh my, bear, you have given me a puzzle. I do not know what this means about ropes.
But I understand all about the Little People and have never feared them in the wee-est bit! Happy St. Pat's to you.
