Friday Flash 55 — in living color

I will return here in winter and doormats will trap muck from my boots.
Some curious snowflakes will race inside ahead of me, pushed by icy gusts.
Then— like rainbow lace— they’ll flutter on drifts of painted air, will dance
in shafts of bright all the way to the top in living color before dying.

Written for Friday Flash 55 - My post in exactly 55 words - for the G-Man.

Kathe~ Unfortunately, there was no description of the building at Pixdaus. I also wonder where it is.
I'm glad you have had a good break in Mexico!

Brian~ Exactly! I'd love to find that place in the gloom of winter.

But what a colorful way to go eh?
Marvelous example of how everyday observations can inspire fine literature...
Loved your Fatalistic 55
Thanks for playing, and please have a Kick Ass Week-End

Very visual, and you have somehow managed to make snowflakes seem warm, and white carry color. Love your 55, dear Lydia.

Happy Friday. Thanks for "stopping in for a visit" I feel like I'm getting stronger and finding myself and my friends, I'm also busy busy busy with story telling and the "new place" and writing. Hope all is well with you, I'm on vacation this week so I'll play catch up and go over your blog soon. Hugs.

how visual, lydia. the building sparkles enough, but add dancing daring snowflakes reflecting it all.

thank you for putting this in my head.

okay, so the snowflakes rise up and die. not the worse way to come and go :^)

I'm taking my last few moments before I attempt to sign off from the Internet to read blogs. The flow in this is lovely and I like the contrast between the colors, the mood, and the coming winter.
