Friday Flash 55 — Nemo Blizzard

Terrible blizzard coming —
That really blows!
Gonna be historic —
Weatherman knows.
Everyone, inside.....
Before bolting doors
consider Sandy victims
huddled on moldy floors.
Few hours remaining,
then storm fronts meet.
Find needy strangers
out on the street.
Offer rides to safety —
Share, lend a hand.
People get ready together
for the blizzard in this land.

Written for Friday Flash 55 - My post in exactly 55 words - for the G-Man.

I will say this, in time of crisis we Americans do stick together and help others all we can.
We only got about 6 inches, but thats enough to bring out the Idiots.
Loved your Stormy 55
Thanks for playing, and have a Kick Ass Week-End

I think it's kinda silly....naming every storm that comes along. Silly ass weather channel. So what...we're getting some snow for a change like we're supposed to. Didn't name the blizzard of '68 or the one of '74 which closed I-75 for three days and when it opened it was only one lane in each direction. I know. Future hubby and I were stuck in Bowling Green, sleeping on the floor at the university center with hundreds of other stranded travelers. But I digress....stay safe and warm if you're in the path. And I shiver at the thought of huddling on a moldy floor.

When I heard about the blizzard bearing down on the northeast, my first thought was of the Hurricane victims ... how it would further impact them. Be safe.

In the UK we can't really imagine your ice storms and blizzards. You cathc public spiritedness and good neighbors very well in this 55.
Now . . . you going to tell us this mysterious first name you've got hidden away?

Les Nessman had it right.

Sad that most peoplen think of a fish instead of the Jules Verne character, let alone the real latin meaning. Got to be just unbelievable for the poor Sandy victims.

We were lucky once again. Snow but no blizzard.

I love both the fish AND the captain. So actually I thought of both.

The third one would be the dreaming child of Slumberland.

Media frenzy: BLIZZARD!
When I was a child this was simply called a snowy day in February. And it was *Expected* if you can imagine such a thing

Citizen of Earth~ A woman who was interviewed on one news clip said something similar. She remarked that this is the weather that we are SUPPOSED to be having this time of year in this part of the country!
