A bit swamped on Old Postcard Wednesday

GIF via ARG!

If you recognize this busily-reading little guy you will remember that I posted him before when I just had to commit to other obligations instead of creating a post for Old Postcard Wednesday. I am in that position again: need some extra time to read others' blogs and also to attend to pressing household obligations. In the mix is the male kitten who arrived at our outside wildlife food bowl last Friday night, obviously way too young to be out on his own foraging for food. I brought him inside to consider next steps and then noticed that his whiskers had been cut off by some horrid person. With that discovery, he was given a place to feel safe in our laundry room....thereby booting the dog out of her regular sleeping spot. A partial dog bed is now in the living room and everything is a crazy mess.

This shot shows how his little whiskers were clipped. (The vet went berserk when she saw this, saying he had definitely been abused.)

We had the kitten tested for feline leukemia (results were negative) and had his first kitten shots on Saturday. He has been wormed and given flea meds. He has already grown and is a personality kid. If any of my readers in Oregon might be interested in having him, please contact me via email. He deserves a loving forever home and we just cannot commit to him, as we have two inside cats (who aren't exactly warming to the kitten's meows) and are caring for three others who sleep in the garage...plus we feed anywhere from three-to-six additional strays each night in our wildlife area where I found this sweet baby.....
