Friday Flash 55 — his future told

He quit school, then gauged his success by which bell foundry forms and machinery he could lift or push. Once, at a bus stop, he described his job for a classy stranger. She quoted: 
. . . For whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee.  
Today, he teaches English literature six blocks from the bell foundry.
