{feed me!}

Supply always comes on the heels of demand.
-Robert Collier, American motivational author (1885-1950

{It is time to feed adorable me!}

Teach a parrot the terms "supply and demand" and
you've got an economist.
Thomas Carlyle, Scottish Historian and Essayist (1795-1881)

 {feed me! feed me! feed me!}

 First you must find... another shrubbery! (dramatic chord) Then, when you have found the shrubbery, you must place it here, beside this shrubbery, only slightly higher so you get a two layer effect with a little path running down the middle.
("A path! A path!")  Then, you must cut down the mightiest tree in the forrest... with... a herring!  -Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975)

There is always a heavy demand for fresh mediocrity. In every generation the least cultivated taste has the largest appetite.
-Paul Gauquin, French painter, printmaker, and sculptor (1848-1903)

Great souls by instinct to each other turn,
demand alliance,
and in friendship burn.
Joseph Addison,
English Essayist, Poet,
Dramatist, and Statesman (1672-1719)

{feed me! ....Please.}

Ni!

Nu!

We are no longer the Knights who say Ni!

OK - so Brian has the clearer plot, but for sheer comedy invention Holy Grail remains one of my all time favourite movies, so love your quote - and the one from Gauquin

My favourite moment in Holy Grail however is where they are weighing the witch and John Cleese shouts "She turned me into a new! (embarrassed pause)...I got better"

Pixies~ Aha! It worked! I put that quote in especially for you, truly I did. :)
I should find Holy Grail on DVD and see it, as I have only seen portions and your appreciation for it certainly builds my interest.

We have the Holy Grail on dvd and watch it once a year.It's a must in our household (lol)

Love the pics of the squirrel, what a cutie. I love watching the squirrels in my backyard, they are comical as they tease the 'boys' :)

i've never seen the holy grail: can you believe it?! but i like all these quotes, some of which make me think if they mean this or that.

here's wishing you a fine weekend, lydia

Looking to the Stars~ If it is a must in your household, and Pixies so highly recommends it, then I absolutely must watch the whole movie and stop relying on portions to give me the feeling for the full experience!
I think the squirrels around here are teases with the cats also. But there is one neighbor's cat who comes here and who is obviously on the hunt.

kj~ See my comment above to Stars. We need to see that movie!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend too. It got better once the rapture crowd were made to look like fools Saturday night. :)

oh those clever creatures with cute tails....we have them also!

The squirrels around here are the smallest I've ever seen. At first we thought we were seeing babies but they're simply very small and easily maneuver through the feeder screens.

I agree you really should see the Holy Grail. You probably have seen the bit where King Arthur meets the annoying peasants but if not..

On our balcony, we often have such visitors. Especially at the end of the summer. They're usually after our cherry tomatoes :)

Kathe~ We never used to have them in our neighborhood because they had a huge oak grove eight blocks away and various huge oaks in other yards. Then, in the course of one summer a few years ago, half of the oak grove was cut down to make a soccer field and several residential oaks were felled (one fell on its own). So the squirrels have migrated to our yard where they have found homes in the three sequoias, one mountain ash, and (omg) our sauna shed. Hmmm, pets I did not count on!

susan~ Tiny squirrels....how unique. I hope you can get a picture of them to share at your blog.
I am not sure about that particular scene and am now on my way to view it. Thanks! (Our cable company sent a free movie coupon with the bill and I may use it to view the whole movie soon!)

Roxana~ Oh, thank you for that. I guess they sometimes are like a crazy quilt...they sort of build upon themselves, these kinds of posts do!

Olga~ Cherry tomatoes! Who would think they would love those?! I will have to share some (store bought) as a special treat. Thanks for the idea. Are your squirrels small-sized as the ones described by susan in her comments?

Olga said...

No, our Canadian squirrels are really plump:)

This is getting interesting! Susan is also in Canada, in Halifax! You would no doubt appreciate her blog; her art is amazing. (And her squirrel friends are tiny!)
