Friday Flash 55 — Shambolic

长沙。 by Jakob Montrasio

Simplicity, not here  (not even desired).
Hangovers, handjobs, humble hope, hunger here;
Attention deficit disorder, disorderly conduct — Oh
My God!   Someone here
Believes in no god — finds bliss in a fix.
Organic alley smells compete with m'
Lady's cheap perfume. Neon hums
Iconic zizzle-sounds as the
Coming of the end streaks across the sky.

Written for Friday Flash 55 - My post in exactly 55 words - for the G-Man.
A hearty hurrah for G-Man, who has been extremely ill and unable to host
Friday Flash Fiction 55 for the last three months. I am so glad he has recovered
and is hosting this prompt once again, as I really missed him
(and I missed composing 55-word pieces too!).

Lydia, that is awesome. Awe-inspiring. The way you have taken those letters and fit them into lines, with different connecting points.

nice grit to your scene lydia...there are a few places just like that...was thinking thailand as i read it, but...nice acrostic as well....the end in sight might now be a bad view for some...

The photo is so cool, but your words paint a different picture. I'll put it on the bottom of my vacation list

Loved your 55

Phew- could not get the comment box to open! - now where was I ? Oh yes,
"finds bliss in a fix" I got the flash of one of those kids wet slides
that they use with water on the lawn!! ( - wish it were that simple-) zizzle and hums are great thanks. I do love the oriental neighborhoods; all CRAMMMED together... :)

Great 55, Lydia--what a Cuisinart's worth of ideas and words all nicely nlended. I have *got* to start reading China Meiville.

a higgs-bosun particle walks into a church, and the priest says "oi you, get out - we don't want any so called "god particles" in here thank you very much"

And the Higgs-Bosun says "But you can't throw me out - without me you can;t have any mass"

love the picture - very Blade Runner

A far from shambolic 55. :)

That's cool...starting each line with a letter that then spells a word. It's even a form that has a name, if I could only remember it....Clever way to get 55 words. The organic smells almost waft out of that photo. Could be in any crowded city in India or Southeast Asia, or anywere USA, for that matter. Thanks for sharing your unique 55.

You held my attention with the tension of the piece.

I like the picture you chose too.

An excellent 55, to gladden a depressive's heart!

Yvonne . . The form is sometimes called "Acrostic" or "Acronymic" There are quite a lot of them about, although the writers don't always tell you.
