*stars**

Vineyard of Stars by Amber Richards

The Stars  by Edith Södergran

When night comes
I stand on the steps and listen,
stars swarm in the yard
and I stand in the dark.
Listen, a star fell with a clang!
Don’t go out in the grass with bare feet;
my yard is full of shards.

I am so anxious for the annual Star Party held at Silver Falls State Park, and am hoping for a clear night. It is my favorite event each summer.

The Dex Scrapbook, part two

 Prism by Sam Song

Have you seen the multitude of hues?
The hues that make up the creation called you.
    The colors each unique,
    yet together, each so obsolete.

What do you see?
    Do you see them?
    Or do you see me?

Now look through the Glass.
The Glass God sees you through.
    The perspective of the eternal.
    The paradigm of the omniscient.
Through the eyes of all present.

Do you see you?
    The multitude of hues?

The Dex Scrapbook, part one

Our visit from Dex and the week of vacation we took together was so special that I'm having trouble with the words to describe it. I think I need time to process the depth of feelings and fun that Dex, Michael, and I shared. Images I took will have to do for now.

The first three shots were taken on Dex's first day in Oregon. We are standing in the backyard of The Pittock Mansion in Portland, a property that offers amazing views of the city and Mount Hood in one direction and Mount Adams and Mount St. Helens in another.

The next day we went to Silver Falls State Park, Oregon's largest state park at 8000 acres and only 14 miles from our home in Silverton. Having had such a rainy spring the falls were especially spectacular.

I loved viewing all this beauty as if for the first time that day.
