The Dex Scrapbook, part one

Our visit from Dex and the week of vacation we took together was so special that I'm having trouble with the words to describe it. I think I need time to process the depth of feelings and fun that Dex, Michael, and I shared. Images I took will have to do for now.

The first three shots were taken on Dex's first day in Oregon. We are standing in the backyard of The Pittock Mansion in Portland, a property that offers amazing views of the city and Mount Hood in one direction and Mount Adams and Mount St. Helens in another.

The next day we went to Silver Falls State Park, Oregon's largest state park at 8000 acres and only 14 miles from our home in Silverton. Having had such a rainy spring the falls were especially spectacular.

I loved viewing all this beauty as if for the first time that day.

Nancy~ I really appreciate your comments after my posts about Dex. He loved Silver Falls...said they have waterfalls in the Philippines but they do not compare with SF.

kj~ So far beyond coincidence is a great description for Dex coming into my life. Thank you for your insights.

"And a good time was had by all"! Lovely waterfall...about ready to dive in one myself right about now.

Hope your resting and recouping from all of the excitement.

Love,

Riyadh~ Sweet of you to mention that, and yes we did have a great time. We even spoke about you, so you were here in thought!

Rhi~ Those falls are really rushing right now. Very refreshing!

I am getting extra sleep because I've been downright drowsy!

I'm slowly catching up, Lydia, and enjoy reading your last, say, 20 posts! Great reading, of course! I'm glad you had such a good time. The pictures are lovely! Must have been exciting!
